Overcoming Fear...

My life long dream was to learn how to scuba dive and my fear was the prospect of breathing underwater and even death by drowning for that matter. I pulled the trigger in 1998 and got certified as a scuba diver finally. It opened up a whole new world to me. 75% of the earth's surface is underwater and oh man, what a world it is down there.

Earth's Beauty...

The sunsets in Cozumel, Mexico where I've dove and vacationed exclusively pretty much for the last 10 years are to die for. Another little but parallel little thing I suppose. I hope to live long enough to retire there. Plus, the natives there are the salt of the earth.

Love...

Allowing myself to let go and fall in love. I've done it once and she did it too simultaneously, soul mates forever although we'll probably never see each other again in this life it's a bond that can never be broken. And this thing called life for both of us seems miniscule in the grand scheme of things because of it.

Comedy...

The great escape and a way to understand and deal with life's ironies of which there are many.

Water...

Seriously. If someone had told me 20 years ago that people would buy water in 16 oz plastic bottles I would have told them that they're nutz. What's next? Air for sale? Okay, okay, that's comedy (I guess) see above ; ) lol

Friendship, Trust, and Unconditional Love...

The touch, a hug with awesome friend. The spoken and unspoken word or words. One that gets like I do the bond and simple intimacy of just holding hands. Someone that you both know you'll always be in each others life in some way.

Sand beneath my toes..

the smell of the damp air after a storm..

Holding a lover in my arms in the moments after..

the first kiss..

the rustle of the leaves in the fall..

being on the open road on a clam mild day..
